Rules of Play

To ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable and memorable visit, please take a few moments to read our Rules of Play before entering DJ's Play.

General Information

  • Whilst we are implementing considerable safety, hygiene and social distancing measures, we cannot guarantee that adults or children will not come into contact with others, nor do we accept liability for illness or symptoms which may result during or after your visit.
  • DJ's Play is a cashless play centre.
  • Loyalty cards are no longer accepted due to online booking and contactless entry.
  • Management reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave.
  • You may be asked to leave because of sickness, diarrhoea or unruly behaviour. Refunds will not be given.
  • Management may alter times, prices, menus and equipment without prior notice.

Food & Drink

  • Only food or drink purchased at DJ's Café may be consumed on the premises.
  • Baby food may be permitted at management's discretion.
  • Birthday cakes may only be brought onto the premises when a DJ's Play party has been booked.
  • No food, drinks or sweets are permitted on the play equipment.
  • Strictly no chewing gum.

Supervision & Safety

  • Parents and guardians must supervise children in their care at all times.
  • Parents and guardians must remain within the building throughout their visit.
  • Adults should only enter the play equipment when assisting children in their care.
  • Staff monitor equipment but are not responsible for supervising children.
  • No bullying, swearing, rough play or physical contact is permitted.
  • No throwing or removal of balls, bricks or toys from the play areas.
  • Do not climb the slides or play in front of slide exits.
  • Age restrictions on the play equipment must be followed at all times.
  • Climbing netted walls or the exterior play structure is strictly forbidden.

Clothing & Personal Items

  • Socks must be worn at all times by adults and children.
  • Shoes are not permitted on the play equipment.
  • Appropriate clothing should be worn. Legs and arms should ideally be covered.
  • Hair should be tied back where possible.
  • Jewellery and badges should be removed and left with a responsible adult.
  • Spectacles should only be worn if fitted with a retainer or shatterproof lenses.
  • DJ's Play accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.

Additional Rules

  • Mascots, costumes and entertainers are not permitted for insurance, licensing and child protection reasons.
  • Strictly no smoking anywhere on the premises.
  • For child protection and security reasons CCTV is in operation.

Hemel Hempstead Go Karts

  • Go Karts are available at DJ's Play Park Hemel Hempstead.
  • £1.50 per ride by card payment.
  • Children must meet the required height restrictions. Green zone: ride independently. Amber zone: ride with an adult. Red zone: unfortunately too small to ride.
  • Maximum one child per go kart.
