Yes, since re-opening post-lockdown, we've switched to a new online booking system, located under indoor play. This allows us to limit our capacity, and split our opening hours into sessions, in order to keep our play centres both fun and safe. If you're having difficulty booking, please click here to contact us.

As part of our move to a new online booking system, all 3 of our play centres are now cashless. We no longer keep change on site, and we don't accept cash, so please make sure to bring your card with you if you do wish to purchase anything from the cafe. The only time you'll need cash at one of our play centres is if you wish to use our coin-operated machines (such as the candyfloss machine at our Hemel Hempstead site, the ride-on ice cream van at our Berkhamsted site or the tractor at our St Albans site).

As per our terms and conditions, we are unable to offer refunds, and we ask for 24 hours notice in writing (to info@djsplay.co.uk) in order to reschedule a booking for you (subject to availability).

Everyone who enters our play centre takes a space out of our capacity. On top of this, the price paid for adults helps to cover the cost of cleaning our facilities (from keeping our tables and floors clean, to keeping our toilets spotless)!

Just as adults do, babies also take a space out of our capacity. In response to feedback we received, we've reduced the price of under-1s to £3.00 (when booking online). We provide a number of facilities and services which cater to under-1s, including providing high chairs, sofas (for somewhere comfy to sit when breastfeeding), microwaves to warm up milk, baby changing facilities and allowing prams to be brought in. On top of this we've introduced sensory areas at our Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted site, and sensory equipment at our St Albans site. Our under 2s areas are in high demand, particularly during the week, and charging for under-1s contributes to both the maintenance, and regular cleaning of these. Babies under 6 months old are free with a paying sibling and do not need to be added to your booking.

Everyone who enters our play centre takes a space out of our capacity and needs to be paid for on a pay to enter policy.

Yes, Go Karts are £1.50 a go by card payment. Children need to be age 3 to ride with a parent and age 4 on their own. Shoes must be worn.

Memberships are purchased anually, for £195 for the first child, and £97.50 for each additional sibling (this includes one adult who can come in for free with each booking). In order to purchase a membership, please go to the membership page on our website. If you wish to add a sibling, please contact us. Memberships entitle you to as many visits as you like a year (subject to availability, and only after 1pm on weekends and during February and October half term). You can also only hold one forward booking on your account at a time. The rest of the terms and conditions can be found on the membership page.
If you are an Ofsted registered childminder, see our childminder memberships (alternate terms and conditions apply) by clicking here.

We do offer exclusive hires, both in hours, and out of hours. Pricing, availability and booking is all available on request, our head office can be reached on 01442 232 580, or at info@djsplay.co.uk.

All you need to bring with you is your card (as we are now cashless), socks to wear on the equipment and yourselves! In order to check in, we only need your surname, but we recommend you also bring your booking confirmation if you can.

All 3 of our sites serve drinks and snacks all day, and our cafe is open for hot and cold food for the first hour of your play session. You can view our menu by clicking here!

No, our play centres are allergy-controlled areas, so during our regular play sessions, we do not permit any outside food or drink (with the exception of baby food). Our cafe is able to cater to a huge range of allergies (please make the team on the day aware of any allergies when ordering), and if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Only official birthday parties are allowed to bring a birthday cake, which is not consumed on the premises (it's wrapped up and taken home), and party bags. The only exception to this rule is when booking an exclusive hire, in this case outside food and drink is allowed to be brought into our play centres.

Good reviews are always appreciated! As a small business every person's feedback matters, and we love to see posts on social media! The best place to leave a review is on Facebook, or on our Google maps pages.
If you have anything you think we could improve on, or there was anything we could've done to make your visit better, please get in touch with us at info@djsplay.co.uk.

It is important you stick to your session times, arriving late does not allow you to stay later into another session.

Session times are start and end times, for example 9.30am start until 11.15am finish.

We are unable to offer vouchers or refunds on late arrivals to sessions.

We understand that some visitors will not be able to access DJ's Play without the assistance of an Essential Companion.

We are pleased to be able to offer an Essential Companion ticket for those visitors who require additional assistance to enjoy all that DJ's Play has to offer. Please select your ticket and then add your Essential Companion details under the Access Card scheme.

Essential Companion tickets are available free of charge to visitors who hold an Access Card with the +1 or +2 symbol, simplifying the process for visitors with additional needs.

If you or someone in your group requires an Essential Companion ticket, these are available free of charge with a valid Access Card featuring the +1 or +2 symbol. For more information on how the Access Card works, or to register your access requirements with DJ's Play, please visit our Accessibility Page or read our Access Statement.

Do you have an Access Card with the +1 or +2 symbol applied?

If yes, please book your ticket below which will admit the Essential Companion(s) alongside the Adult/Child with the Access Card to DJ's Play.

If no, please register your access requirements. Nimbus Disability will process your application as soon as they can. We advise allowing up to 10 days processing time if possible. Once advised as eligible and received, you can use your Access ID to book Essential Companion tickets.

Are you visiting within the next 10 days and do not hold an Access Card?

If yes, please proceed to book and pay for everyone's entry tickets, visiting us as planned. Once your Access ID has been received please email this to info@DJsPlay.co.uk within 2 weeks of your visit, together with your booking details and we will arrange for a refund of the Essential Companion's entry monies.

Are you an Annual Pass Holder?

If yes and you do not hold a valid Access Card, please register your access requirements. When your Access ID is received, please present this to our Welcome Team along with your Annual Pass.

Please note that only valid Access Cards with either a +1 or +2 symbol shown on them will be valid for an Essential Companion ticket.

An Essential Companion ticket allows entry for one or two free of charge Essential Companion(s) according to the +1 or +2 symbols on your Access Card. The named person on the Access Card and the Essential Companion(s) must enter DJ's Play together, the Access Card photo ID will be checked at Reception by our Welcome Team.

Essential Companion tickets must be purchased online, through our website booking system which links with Nimbus Disability's portal, ensuring the necessary ID checks take place and that we are aware of all accessibility requirements.

The Role of an Essential Companion

By accepting the Essential Companion ticket your Companion accepts responsibility for providing you with the support you need to visit DJ's Play. This includes being able to provide you with additional assistance during the course of an emergency evacuation. The team at DJ's Play are unable to provide assistance in excess of their typical roles and general reasonable adjustments so it's important that, if you need help moving around, your Companion is ready, willing and able to support you with this.

Young Carers

It is the policy of DJ's Play that all children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 17 or over at all times. We understand that young carers are a much valued and needed source of support, but we are only able to accept them under the Essential Companion ticket scheme where there is no risk of them being left unattended.

If we feel that either the visitor with access requirements or their Companions are abusing the Essential Companion ticket scheme we reserve the right to refuse access under the Essential Companion ticket scheme for future visits.

Please use the application form using the button below to register for an Essential Companion ticket, our partners at Nimbus Disability will review your application. Once you have received your card details, if the +1 or +2 symbol is assigned to you, you can then use your registration/card number on our website to add your Essential Companion ticket(s).
